Furosemide Tablets
Furosemide tablets used in treatment of water retention problems, which occur during heart failure, liver, kidney diseases. Water and salt stay stagnant in body during poor health conditions and thus create severe health problems. To remove water and salt contents from body diuretic tablets are used. They combine water with salt and remove them through urination.
Furosemide 20 mg tablets used to remove swelling caused by water retention during kidney and heart failures. This loop diuretic shows bad results on people allergenic to medicines. People who have urination problem and people who consume ethacrynic acid should not use Furosemide tablets.
Before using tablets or any other Furosemide drug people should tell their pharmacist about the health condition: are they taking any prescribed or non-prescribed medicines, or having any allergies to foods or medicines, did they have any previous heart stroke, are they staying on a low-diet, or consuming any oral herbal tablets etc.
Women should clearly say about their pregnancy, are they pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Nursing mothers should not use the drug because it creates problems in their babies.
When used with antibiotics the drug induces side effects. Medicinal combinations, which cause side effects, are Chloral hydrate, Barbiturates (e.g. Phenobarbital), Narcotics (e.g. codeine), Animoglycosides (e.g. gentamicin), ACE inhibitors (e.g. catopril), etc. All these drugs can create problems like dizziness, excessive urination, high fever, low blood pressure, high blood pressure, infertility and kidney problems.
The drug may increase the amount of urine or sometimes cause frequent urination. Therefore, people should take the dose within regular time intervals. Sometimes the drug can cause blurred vision, so people should be careful with the medication.
People who miss their first dose must consume it immediately. However, they should not consume two doses simultaneously. Consuming two doses simultaneously increases urination and causes dehydration.
